Lobster Wontons Recipe

Lobster Wonton Recipe

8 ounces cream cheese
1 1/2 cups cooked lobster meat chopped
1/4 cup scallions
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
36 wonton wrappers
6 cups canola oil

Mix the cream cheese, lobster, soy sauce, scallions, and rice vinegar together in a mixing bowl. Place the wonton wrappers on a firm dry surface then add the mixture, making sure not to place too much that you’ll not be able to fold the wrappers to closure. Seal the wrappers by dipping your finger in water and rubbing along the 4 edges of the wrappers. Then fold and seal the wontons, if you encounter any edges not sticking add more water and pinch the edges together.

Place the completed wrappers on a tray until you’ve completed all of them. Then heat the canola oil in a large frying pan until it’s shimmering. Add as many wontons that will fit without any of them touching. Fry wontons for 1 to 1 /12 minutes flipping over halfway through the cooking process. Remove your wontons when the edges start to turn brown. Place the cooked wontons onto a plate covered with paper towels to drain the oil. It’s best to serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
